In this workshop, we will explore the anatomy and particularly the physiology of the lower legs and feet. We will explore various habitual holding patterns, arches, knee placement in relationship to the ankle alignment as a solid, yet flexible, foundation for the rest of the body to land on. Through various exercises we will learn how to connect with our own body mechanics while doing massage as well as how to ‘track’ or client’s movements to begin to place them into better alignment. We will also do some hands-on soft tissue work designed to bring more balance to the foundation of the body.
